Three New Team Members Outside Focus Data Solutions

Welcome To Focus Data Solutions

We’re happy to introduce you to three new members of the IT Solutions team. In just a few short weeks, Hammad, Gerard and Carrington have made great contributions to our team. (Congratulations to Gerard, who took home the trophy during our All-Staff Week Ticket Challenge!)

 
Hammad Farrukh, Configuration Specialist
Hammad Farrukh Outside Focus Data Solutions
Hammad will be working on workstation burn ins and installations. A graduate of Mount Vernon High School and Northern Virginia Community College, Hammad has served as a volunteer student technician at Mt. Vernon HS and was a PC replacement intern at Fairfax County Government Center. He is a graduate of Genesys Works, a program to build communication, presentation, and workplace skills. Hammad is the CTO of Startfield, and co-founder of the program Startcyber, an afterschool program designed to instruct students about cybersecurity. His personal pursuits are outdoorsy and active. Hammad started riding motorcycles in his free time!

 
Gerard de Bey, IT Solutions Specialist
Gerard de Bey
Gerard has previously spent their professional career in the educational field, working in the Prince William County and Loudoun County Public School systems. During this time, Gerard began their transition to work in the IT field, assisting with various IT related projects. Gerard enjoys collaborating with their colleagues at Focus Data Solutions to best serve our clients. Outside of work, Gerard takes interest in a variety of things. Gerard is passionate about psychological research, advocating for DEI, photography, coaching color guard, and learning about the bleeding edge of technology. Gerard hopes to continue growing their career in the IT field utilizing their strengths from their unique, blended background.

 
Carrington Barbour, IT Solutions Specialist
Carrington Barbour
Carrington joins our team with a goal of connecting with customers and bridging the gap between technology and users. He’s a self-proclaimed tinkerer who thrives on both the process and resolution of IT issues. He’s been following the rise of AI in the workplace, cybersecurity and enhanced connectivity and applications. He enjoys connecting with individuals from diverse backgrounds and engaging in both technical and non-technical conversations around IT to push boundaries and drive progress. Family time with his two daughters, ages 9 and 7, is especially important to Carrington. He enjoys exploring new destinations, indulging in diverse culinary experiences, and engaging in social events.
